"Labor Day", 13-year-old Henry Wheeler's story of struggling with the problems brought by adolescence while trying to be the man of the house and taking care of his distant mother Adele. While out shopping for school supplies, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers, who is both intimidating and in need of help, and then this man, who turns out to be a fugitive, convinces the mother and son to take him in. The events that unfold during this long weekend of Labor Day will shape the rest of their lives.
