The Redeem Team, 2008 Olympics held in Beijing, focuses on the journey of the US basketball team. After the failure they experienced in 2004, which was a major setback for the dominant force in basketball history, the United States came back strong with a determined roster to reclaim the top spot. Directed by Jon Weinbach, who has also worked on productions such as The Last Dance, 30 for 30, and The Other Dream Team, the documentary delves into the behind-the-scenes of their comeback. Led by the legendary player Kobe Bryant, who sadly passed away in January 2020, the team, nicknamed The Redeem Team, consisted of stars like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Jason Kidd, and Chris Paul. The bad taste left by the 2004 disappointment was finally erased. The documentary includes interviews with Coach Mike "Coach K" Krzyzewski, players, and accompanying journalists, shedding light on how these big egos were able to come together and truly become a "team".
